The Gathering and the Grid brings together Sarah Stefana Smith's Flag to the Abyss and Thresholds series, knotted and stretched from bird, deer, and fishing netting, rope, and found materials. Smith takes up the net as both tool and tangle, a structure built to capture, that also gives way. Visitors are invited to add to a collective woven work over the course of the exhibition.
